Simple but Glam Party Makeup Tutorial

I absolutely love a party glam eye makeup look and I'm going to show you how to recreate this dramatic but simple glam I did recently which is perfect for any event. If you want to learn how to recreate this easy, head-turning look, follow the guidelines set out below!!!

     1. Prime your Eyes
The first step is to prime your eyes to make sure your eye makeup stays put. You can add a skin tone colour to the base to lock in your primer. This will also help the eyeshadow colours blend easier. I recommend using brushes for this look to achieve a clean, well-blended finish.

   2. Create Your Smoky Eye
Apply a brown shadow above the natural eyelid crease and use a windshield wiper motion to blend the eyeshadows from the outer to the inner part of the eye. Then take a matte black eyeshadow and using patting motions with your brush, place this colour all over the lid and into the brown shade in your crease. Start with a little product and keep adding bit by bit until you achieve the intensity of colour you desire. Blend the colours together by passing your brush over them lightly.

The goal is to get rid of any harsh lines. You want the colours to flow seamlessly into each other. Take the matte black shade and run it along the lower lashline. I used Morphe's 35N Palette shown below to create this look.  Also, use an eyeshadow shade that is 2 shades lighter than your hair colour and fill in your eyebrows. Then place a highlighter under the eyebrows and in the inner corners. I used Silk Teddy from Too Face’s Natural Eyes Palette.

3.      Apply Eyeliner
Eyeshadow makeup will never be complete without a winged-eye effect, so grab your favourite liquid eyeliner and apply to the edges of your V-shaped makeup. I used L'Oreal Paris Lineur Intense Liquid Eyeliner in the shade Black for the lids and L'oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Last Waterproof Pencil Eyeliner in Black along the waterline.

     4.     Apply Glitter Eyeliner
One of my favourite products to create and add glam to any look is Too Faced's Glitter Pop! Peel Off Eyeliner in the shade Glitter Ghost. I applied this product right above the liquid eyeliner. It is a multi-colour holographic glitter that peels off easily when dry so cleanup isn't a hassle.

5.      Attach False Eyelashes
Between the combo of glitter and smoky eyes, your eyelashes are easily overpowered. False eyelashes are perfect for this look as it gives you instant growth and added drama to the overall look. Secret: I didn't put on false eyelashes for the picture on the right taken above because my client preferred to use her own pair which she forgot to bring to my house!

6.      Put on a Nude Lipstick
To complete this look and make it even sexier, I used
Too Faced Melted Latex High Shine Liquified Lipstick
in the shade Hopeless Romantic!

7. Setting Spray

Finish off and lock in all the products used by misting Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Primer and Setting Spray to hydrate and brighten your skin, keeping your makeup in place all night long!
